My Favorite Sites

I get a lot of inspiration and recipes from other sites, blogs, etc. and want to share the love. Below are a handful of my go-to’s whether it’s for recipes, photography, entertaining, decor, or just plain fun. I posted some of these in one of my first posts, but felt they needed their own spot to be easily accessed anytime. I read through so many of these and am awe-inspired by their creativity, innovation, excitement, and drive and hope to someday have a fraction of their impact and skill!

I’ll keep this fresh and up to date as I find new great sites, books, etc. so keep checking back!

RECIPES / FOOD:

  • Love & Lemons: This is a recent find and one I’m SUPER excited about as it’s focused on seasonal produce as the basis. Not to mention, the photography looks amazing and recipes sound divine. I also recently purchased the physical cookbook, which you too can buy here:

  • Jillian Harris: I have a total girl crush on her for how fun she is and her all around great style, but also love all of her cooking, especially because she does a lot of experimenting with classic dishes and making them vegan. Go girl!
  • Oh She Glows: Another fave of mine for her plant-based recipes and darling personality.
  • Not Without Salt: Ashley is super creative with her food and also does tutorials on things like food photography and editing, etc.
  • Minimalist Baker: As the name implies, her recipes are all about simplicity – they are either 10 ingredients or less, require one bowl, or take 30 minutes or less to make. Uh, yeah.
  • Eating Well: An old Vermont standby for fresh, seasonal dishes that don’t require many ingredients and promote healthy, well balanced eating vs weird fad dieting.
  • My Pinterest Page: Shameless self plug, but I pin a LOT and have amassed a mix of recipes from all over the internet. I have a general food one, as well as a drinks / cocktail specific page, and my vegan specific recipes as well.

ENTERTAINING:

  • The Everygirl: This one crosses between two categories but they have some really fun entertaining tips and guides.
  • Domino Magazine: Personally, their hard quarterly is my fave, but they do have some fun entertaining articles online too.
  • Me Again…: Yeah, I also have an entertaining pinterest page. Mine is more about the visuals to inspire my entertaining so only a few are good articles unfortunately (as Outkast would say, I’m just being honest)
  • A few great books with entertaining fun within them – I’m a sucker for traditional books!
        • Entre Nous: one of my favorite books about unleashing your inner French girl. Did I mention I am pretty sure I was either a French woman in a past life or was meant to be one?

      • All In Good Taste: This is Kate Spade’s book on being a great hostess. I mean, it’s written by Kate Spade so really, that’s all you needed to know.

DECOR:

  • I find 90% of my decor / interiors inspiration from Pinterest…just general perusing and pinning. So yeah, here I go again plugging my own Pinterest for Interiors. I have a few boards that cover it so check out the following:
  • The Everygirl: I warned you they’d show up twice! These gals not only have great style themselves, but they do a great job of showcasing other people’s places, and most importantly, linking to the actual items or similar items you see in the home tours!
  • Apartment Therapy: An absolute treasure trove of interior inspiration and styling tips! I have to seriously restrain myself from going on here too often because it will literally lead me to hours of endless clicking and reading. Consider yourself warned!

ENJOY! And please share with me some of your favorites too by sending me a message via the contact page.
